##🛠️ PrivacyZen Devlog December -> The Path to Beta (January 2026)
The vision for PrivacyZen is nearing reality. After months of deep architecture work, I'm thrilled to announce that we are on track to launch in Beta in January of February 2026.
Most of the heavy lifting is now behind us. We’ve focused on building a system that isn't just "another email service," but a robust, ethical infrastructure built to last.
What’s Ready
- Custom Domains: You can now fully integrate your own identity into the PrivacyZen ecosystem if you have a domain (available for Premium members)
- Alias Management & Randomization: Generate unique aliases on the fly to keep your primary identity shielded from trackers and leaks.
- The Master Mailbox: A streamlined interface to review and manage emails received across all your aliases in one centralized, secure view.
- High-Performance Architecture: We’ve implemented efficient database sharding inspired by the Actor Model to ensure that the system can grow.
###The Final Stretc The Forwarding Challenge
The main focus of our current "Sprints" will be Email Forwarding.
As anyone in the mail infrastructure world knows, correct email forwarding is notoriously difficult due to modern SPF, DKIM, and DMARC requirements. To ensure your emails actually reach their destination without being swallowed by spam filters, we are making a few strategic concessions. We are prioritizing deliverability and security over legacy "open" forwarding methods that no longer work in today’s hardened email environment.
We are fine-tuning these protocols now to ensure that when you hit "forward," it just works—transparently and reliably.
What’s Next?
We are polishing the UI to match our "Handcrafted" philosophy: simple, fast, and bloat-free. Thank you for following along on this journey toward a more private, human-centric inbox.
See you in January.
Prior to September 2025
This current system for PrivacyZen was rebuilt from scratch based on the LinSublim and ZenDenPen experiments from 2024 and 2025. Reinstalling the Community Forum anew and repurposing the IRC server.
